Quizlet is for Everyone!

Good news for you all! I have found a mobile and web-based study application named Quizlet. With Quizlet, wherever and whenever you are, both students and teachers can practice and master whatever they are learning. 

Wait..! You think that this post only aimed for students and teachers, don't you? Well, you got it wrong. Quizlet is for everyone. No matter how old your are, you can always use Quizlet. 

For example, teenagers can use it for remembering difficult vocabularies. In addition, Quizlet has provided many pictures which can be use to support your learning. No more bad grades! 

If you are a parent who has a young child, you can use Quizlet to teach your child about spelling and many other things. It saves your time!

If you are a grandmother or a grandfather, you can use Quizlet to memorize your grandchildren's name. As I said before, Quizlet has provided pictures for us but I believe Quizlet didn't provide your grandchild's picture. Don't worry. You can upload your own image in Quizlet. Your grandchild will love you evermore!

Quizlet is very easy to use and the most important thing is it doesn't waste paper. You simply need to open your phone or laptop. 

First, open this link https://quizlet.com/en-gb. Then click sign up to create an account. 

Fill in the blank space provided. Write your username, email, and password. Make sure your password is not too easy and too difficult to be remembered. 

If you already have a Quizlet account, click log in. Type your username and password in the blank space provided. After that click Log in. Personally, I prefer to Log in with Google since it doesn’t force me to create a new email which I often forget.

From this point, you can already make your own quiz on Quizlet. Click the word Create on the top of the page.

Put the title on the space below the sentence Create a new study set. Make sure the title you chose is simple and covers the whole material. 

When you scroll down, you will find 5 not-yet filled card. Click on the blank space provided beside the number then enter a term and its definition.

For example I wrote Pet for the title, cat for the term, and a small carnivorous mammal with soft fur for the definition.

I will show you how to get image in Quizlet. Click the symbol that I have circle with red color below. The pictures will pop-out below the number right away. If you want to upload your own image, click Or upload your own image.

Choose Language is one of many advantages which is offered by Quizlet. No need to worry anymore if you don't use English in your country, especially in your class.

There are five different types of test and learning mode which you can try. I suggest you to try the flashcards and spell mode for learning. And match, learn, test mode for testing yourself or give students test in class. No time limitation is one of the advantages in these 4 types of learning (except match mode).

In the flashcards mode, quizlet will give you a brief explanation about something or someone afterwards you must guess what the term is. You can add the definition if you want to by click the pencil-like symbol beside the speaker symbol. 

Here is the example from the flashcards type:

In the spell mode, you will hear the speaker said the term. Right after that, you must type what the speaker said.

In this mode, you must match the term with its definition. There is time limitation for this mode.

In this mode, you must choose the best answer which match with the definition. 

This mode requires you to write the term which match with the definition given.

Using Quizlet may bring you many advantages as I said above. However, Quizlet also has many disadvantages. Since it's using the internet, you can't study well if your internet connection is low. Besides, you must be patient when it comes to the technology.
